STUNNING “SWEET VIOLET” IN ORIGINAL COAT & DRESS & SHOES! 18″ MULTI-JOINTED hard plastic “Madeline style BALLJOINTED DOLL made by Madame Alexander in 1954. A JOY TO POSE! WITH SIGNATURE DARK PUPIL SLEEP EYES with FULL ORIG BRUSH LASHES. She has ORIGINAL VIVID RED “SWEETHEART” LIPS & DOUBLE STROKE BROWS, with delicate hand painted original under eye lashes. Her pink CHEEKS HAVE BEEN REFRESHED. Her ORGINAL BLONDE CURLY WIG has been cut short—less noticeable with added PASTEL PINK WOVEN “SWEET SUE” BONNET with NEW FLORALS & RIBBONS—including an extra PINK SATIN & LACE RUFFLE tucked under her brim. This Little Lady is making the best of a “bad hair day”. She wears her ORIGINAL RARE PURPLE FAILLE TAGGED Madame Alexander FITTED COAT with TWO ORIGINAL PEARL BUTTONS. The top button hole has been tied with a purple ribbon because the original top pearl button is missing. I tried & tried to find a replacement button but this tiny size I could not find. Sweet Violet wears her RARE ORIGINAL TAGGED PINK TAFFETA RUFFLED SLEEVELESS dress. She has a chosen a NEW SATIN RIBBON TRIMMED STIFF TULLE CRINOLINE to give her skirt more strut. Close inspection of the vintage petticoat showed need of repair—it will not be included with this doll. She wears OOAK LEMON YELLOW LACE TRIMMED COTTON PANTIES complete her attire. She wears NEW WHITE MESH HOSE with her ORIGINAL DARK PURPLE VELVETEEN SNAP SHOES with tiny violets on the toes! This Beauty has been meticulously cleaned and her original paint refreshed as needed. She had a CHEEK REPAIR DONE too necessitating added “blush” to her right cheek. This Little Lady is NOT MINT BUT STILL VERY MUCH A SWEETHEART! She has chosen a OOAK NEW MINI-ROSE PARCHMENT BOUQUET of lavender, yellow & pink hues. She wears a NEW MINI-RHINESTONE BRACELET! She has been on display in a place of honor in my SMOKE FREE, PET FREE DOLL ROOM protected from sunlight & temperature extremes. I told myself “this is one doll I will never part with” but here she is—listed for a short time. She begged me to be listed because her two best friends, shown in the photos with her, are currently listed—separately.
