Lovely vintage Madame Alexander Cissy sister Cissette Queen from 1957
PLEASE CHECK OUT MY SELLERS FEEDBACK, YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED IN MY ITEMS. So, this sale is for 1950’s Cissette in good condition, but the main interest in this sale will be the rare and lovely gown made only in 1957. Perhaps you have the correct doll and jewellery and are looking for the correct gown in lovely condition. This lovely little doll is in very good condition. Made by Madame Alexander, her gown is Cissette Queen from 1957. Her body has no cracks or damage, she’s not new of course, but she’s in excellent condition. I do attach a photo of the crutch area, it looks like the seam is parted slightly, however it’s not moving and hasn’t changed so probably been like this since new.. Described and pictured in Marjorie Merod’s wonderful book on Cissette Dolls, on page 32. I’m not sure the doll is the same, however the gown is rare, and as stated by Marjorie in her book, the Queen gown was sleeveless only in 1957. Having a short train and two big sash bows, one either side of the back fasteners. Gown is tagged, and I don’t believe it’s ever been laundered. Fabric is still bright and the sash is in excellent condition with the original jewels.. This doll does not have pierced ears. Her hair is lovely in the original set, no cuts or trims. Nice cheek blush, clear eyes that sleep well. Cissette does not have an original slip for this gown, but the slip she does have on is very pretty, it needs new elastic and then will hold our her lovely gown well. Cissettes crown is an original in excellent condition, still with the jewels and strap to hold it in place. I don’t know if it’s the original crown to go with this gown, but this is how she came to me. Her little shoes are gorgeous, cream satin with high heels and with a tiny rhinestone on the front. Please ask questions if I’ve left out something important to you….
