1949 Lucy Bride Doll Madame Alexander Suntan, Drop Waist Gown Shoes Hose Panties

Featured here is an exquisite Madame Alexander 1949 Lucy Bride Doll in her original ivory satin gown, with long tapering sleeves and a drop waist, and rhinestone bodice. IT has a lovely square neck edged in lace, with slightly puffed sleeves at the shoulders. It snaps down the back and is TAGGED with the fabric Madame Alexander Doll Co. She has her original tiny white bead necklace, her original ivory satin snap shoes, back seamed hose, and lace trimmed satin panties. Her gown has an underskirt or slip sewn to it at the drop waist for fullness. NOTE: This doll is missing her original veil, but I have put vintage fabric flowers at her temples in the same place and style as the original doll’s head decor. She also carries an added vintage satin hand basket with satin ribbon handles and trailing fabric flowers and satin ribbons. It can be carried nicely in either hand or over her wrist. This doll has the suntan body of the early Madame Alexander Margaret dolls; she has her dark brunette hair done up in its original set, pulled back in tight curls behind her ears and along the back of her neck. She has wonderful open and close eyes, painted eye brows, all her eye lashes, full painted lips and rosy cheeks. The “Margaret” faced dolls are some of the most beautiful made by Madame Alexander, in my opinion. This doll has flat feet, not “high heel feet” and poses nicely in a doll stand. A doll stand will be included so that she is ready for display. This doll has been kept in a darkened doll room in my SMOKE FREE and PET FREE home, in a doll cabinet. She shows no sign of any sun fading. I take great care to wrap my dolls so that they do not move around in transit.
