Description: This is a 12 Eloise in Paris doll made by Madame Alexander. It’s not their usual fair, as it’s a cloth-faced doll with a soft body. I believe it was made as an exclusive for Neiman Marcus in 2001. My mother bought this doll new, with plans to give it to one of her nieces when the girl was old enough, but she put it away and promptly forgot about it. We just rediscovered a number of things she bought around the same time, in the early 2000s and are listing them as we have no use for them. Condition: New, in original box. Inner pink box is fine. Doll is fine and has never been out of packaging. Map and passport are in a plastic bag in Eloise’s tote bag. MADAME ALEXANDER’S JANE WITHERS DOLL 13 TALL WITH NO MARKINGS ON BACK OF DOLL. THE SMALLEST SIZE HAD EITHER A CLOSED MOUTH OR OPEN WITH TEETH AND SOME WERE UNMARKED. SHE IS ALL COMPOSITION AND HAS NOT BEEN RESTORED EXCEPT FOR RESTRINGING. I DO NOT SEE ANY CRAZING, SHE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION FOR HER AGE. JANE HAS A REPLACED MOHAIR WIG WITH LOTS OF CURLS. THE FIRST DOLL WAS PRODUCED IN 1937 IN FOURS SIZES. THIS JANE HAS A CLOSED MOUTH AND SLEEP EYES WHICH ARE A LITTLE CLOUDY BUT HAVE BEEN GIVEN AN OIL TREATMENT. SHE HAS LOVELY FULL BRUSH LASHES. LOWER LASHES ARE PAINTED, EYEBROWS ARE PAINTED BROWN, HER LIPS ARE A SHAPELY PAINTED CLOSED MOUTH WITH BLUSHED CHEEKS. KNEES, TOP OF HANDS AND ELBOWS ARE BLUSHED AS WELL. JANE HAS A VINTAGE JUMPER WITH PLAID BLOUSE, PANTIES, SHOES AND SOCKS ALL REPLACED AS SHE HAD LOST HER ORIGINAL CLOTHING. This beautiful Maggie Face Peter Pan by Madame Alexander is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs and is in his original outfit including his felt hat with feather on the side. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a one-of-a-kind Ice Capades Cissy! This Ice Capades Cissy was made as a prototype for the Ice Capades 20th addition 1960-61 show called Tosca from Operama. The Ice Capades partnered with Madame Alexander during it’s popularity and Madame gave them dolls to work on for the costuming that would later be made for the skaters. These dolls are far and few between and they are an amazing historical value. This Cissy has a gorgeous sequined dress and large hat with boa feathers. The detailing and jewelry accoutrements are amazing. This doll is featured on the Second Series Madame Alexander Collector’s Dolls book by Patricia R. Please note that the costuming does not come off of this doll. As it was a prototype for the upcoming costuming, it is all sewn right on the doll.
